San Giacomo Saba Balsamic Condiment - 8.5oz. bottle
This incredible Saba is made by the same artisan, Andrea Bezzecchi of the San Giacomo estate, that produces amazing balsamic products like Aceto Tradizionale Balsamico and Essenza balsamic condiment. Saba is a dense condiment made of the concentrated grape must of the Lambrusco varietal. The must is simmered in copper kettles over direct fire for 30 hours to allow for a carmelization of the natural sugars. It is then slowly cooled and allowed to age in a variety special woods. The result is a sweet and velvety syrup that can be used as a natural sweetner replacing sugar or honey. Use it with fruit salads, fresh soft cheeses, ice cream, panna cotta, and even cheesecake. You can even drizzle some Saba in sparkling water and wines for a natural and refreshing aperitif. It is perfect for sweet and savory applications.
