When ordering wine for shipping, you authorize D’Italia, Inc. to engage a common carrier to deliver the wine on your behalf. The purchaser is solely responsible for any shipment made by D’Italia, Inc. DITALIA, does not, as a condition of sale, assume any obligation nor bear any responsibility whatsoever for applying or obtaining any permits or licenses. Each state regulates the laws of wine shipping differently. By utilizing our service, the purchaser is agreeing to comply with their local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wines including any limitations on the amount of alcoholic beverage one may purchase and bring into their jurisdiction. You are advised to investigate such limitations and to determine the manner in which alcoholic beverages may lawfully be brought into your state.
The purchaser is solely responsible for obtaining permits (if required) and paying any fees and other taxes in order to take possession of the wine if the wine is sent to a state outside of Missouri. All purchases shipped within Missouri are subject to all applicable local taxes.
Shipping MethodAll orders containing wine are shipped from our St. Louis, Missouri warehouse by FedEx, our exclusive transportation carrier. Shipping costs are calculated based on a competitive pricing structure based on the total weight of a package. To offer you the best price we connect directly to the FedEx servers at the time of checkout to ensure that your shipping charges are accurate. We believe that by offering this up-to-the-minute accurate shipping charge you only pay for the distance and weight that is related to your product. In the event that a shipping change is needed, you will be contacted by us on available options. FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
Sales TaxEach customer is responsible for all sales taxes, or other taxes, on orders shipped to any state. DITALIA will collect sales taxes on all shipments delivered in Missouri.
Age Requirement LawsYou must be 21 years of age or older to order and receive wine. An adult signature is required at time of delivery.
No person under twenty-one years of age may purchase or possess alcoholic beverages. Any person under twenty-one years of age who purchases, or has in his/her possession, any alcoholic beverages is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than $50.00, nor more than $1,000 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not to exceed one year, or by both such fine and jail sentence. We make no representation concerning your legal rights to ship or receive wine into any state outside Missouri. All our contracts are subject to US law and shall be interpreted by the courts located in St. Louis, Missouri. Please contact DITALIA if there are any questions.
Any conviction, filling of illegal purchase or consumption of wine purchased from Ditalia, Inc. will impose all legal and arbitration fees upon the individual/s committing the misdemeanor or any cases regarding illegal possession/consumption of liquor. Legal action will be taken if any individuals choose not comply with federal and state liquor regulations.
Identification VerificationA valid and unexpired operator's or chauffeur's license issued under the provisions of section 302.177, RSMo, or a valid or unexpired operator's or chauffeur's license issued under the laws of any state or territory of the United States to residents of those states or territories, or a valid or unexpired identification card as provided for under section 302.181, RSMo, or an identification card issued by any uniformed service of the United States, or a valid passport.
Any of these forms of identification will be accepted upon verification and signature of the individual stated on the Ship to address label. Only this individual can accept the package, in doing so, the recipient will have to present valid identification and an age signature requirement provided by United Postal Service UPS. **** PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE ONLY PERSON THAT CAN RECEIVE YOUR WINE SHIPPMENT IS THE INDIVIDUAL THAT YOU STATE AS THE SHIP-TO PERSON **** This individual must be twenty one and capable to receive the package. Any food order combined with a wine order will be subject to all these rules.
