Of all Volpi salami, this is my favorite. Why would you scrape off the pepper? When the pepper falls off, press it with your salami slice; it will stick. Thank you Volpi.

"The Volpi Salamie Romano tastes great...AFTER you scrape off nearly an ounce of black pepper which hides the otherwise great taste of the salami. Salami from Italy does not have this much pepper on the edible portion of the meat. Other than having to scrape off far too much pepper, it was a good meat selection."
