The Sassellese name pays tribute to the region of Sassello, home to the beautiful green Ligurian Apennines and the traditional Amaretto Morbido. The company's founder, Augusto Cavallero, was obsessed with Italian sweets from a young age, eventually creating his own original recipes. From that passion grew one of Italy's most beloved sweet shops, home to the canestrellino cookie and other unique confections.
