Flavor like never before.

Since I discovered the Volpi Guanciale, it was so flavorful that I have not eaten any other cured pork product. I may be unconventional in its use, but I disassemble the roll to separate the individual sections, and freeze the pieces. When ready to eat I then slice the frozen pieces very thin (0.5 to 1.0 mm) and fry the slices until crisp. Wow the flavor is intense and great!

This is a fine product that made an excellent carbonara and other sauces for me. The shipping and handling had me a bit concerned...the product seemed to be packaged to keep cool, but the ice pack was melted and the carrier left the carton in the hot sun. I would work with your carrier and package marking. Also, I paid over $20 for shipping, and presumed it would have had that additional attention for the additional cost of shipping. I refrigerated the product promptly and had no issues. I don't know what one more day in a hot truck or sun would have done to my confidence. Overall, I will buy again and looking forward to trying other products. Would get a five if not the shipping issue.
