Frantoio D'Orazio
Frantoio D’Orazio is a three-generation family olive mill in Conversano, Puglia, making extra virgin olive oil that reflects the natural character of each year’s harvest.
We love Frantoio D’Orazio because they let the olive harvest speak for itself. Their Multivarietal EVOO is made by jointly pressing the olives available at the mill during each harvest season, depending on the varieties available that year. There are no fixed percentages or set recipe. Instead, the oil reflects the natural composition of the olives processed together. The result is a balanced, medium-fruity EVOO with harmonious bitter and spicy notes that makes it an easy, versatile choice for everyday cooking.
About the Producer
Established in 1964 in Conversano, Puglia, Frantoio D’Orazio is rooted in a region known for its centuries-old olive trees and deep farming traditions. For three generations, the family has carried on the art of extra virgin olive oil extraction, with Francesco now continuing the work started by his grandfather and uncle Peppino. Every year, the olive harvest brings the family back to a tradition that remains closely connected to the land. The olives are harvested and brought to the mill, where the available varieties are jointly pressed into EVOO. Rather than forcing every harvest into the same formula, Frantoio D’Orazio allows the natural composition of the olives to shape the oil.
