Company founder Antonio Rango has gone to great lengths in dutifully restoring his family's traditional fig growing, harvesting, and processing practices—hand selecting each piece of fruit before it is naturally dried in the Mediterranean sun. Out of respect to the history, the raw materials, and the end consumer, no dyes or preservatives are used in the process. Rango is headquartered in Cassano All'Ionio, in the Province of Cosenza, home of figs. Here the figs display the coveted organoleptic characteristics: the thin skin, the few seeds, elongated fruit, and a pulpy, creamy body.
