This award-winning oil is produced by Natalia Ravida and her family at their estate in Menfi, Sicily, from 300-year-old wild olive trees. Pressed within eight hours of hand picking, the distinctive blend of Sicilian olives (Nocellara, Cerasuola and Biancolilla) brims with the intense flavor and aroma of green grass, artichokes, tomato and almonds. The oil is cold-pressed by continuous centrifugation, which maintains its healthful properties and results in an exceptionally low acidity level. The distinguishing peppery aftertaste of this extra virgin olive oil with the addition of a pinch of RAVIDA Sea Salt is perfect with smoked salmon, a steamed fish fillet, a green or tomato mozzarella salad or a warm vegetable soup; or simply slice warm crusty bread and sprinkle with oil, sea salt and oregano. Best when used raw but can also be used for cooking.
