Called "grana" for its grainy consistency, Grana Padano is a sweet and savory cheese produced in the regions of Piemonte, Lombardia, and Veneto. Ambrosi Grana Padano is a cylindrical, cooked, semi-fat hard cheese which is matured slowly. A golden rind encases this white or straw-colored cheese with crumbly fissures.The taste is fragrant and delicate, and the cheese preserves its integrity for one or two years. Use as a table cheese or for grating.
