The Rao brothers take the local figs, harvest them at their peak, and then mash them up with the area's famous oranges to make a sweet confection. It is then dipped in chocolate, rolled in powdered sugar, and tied up with string to look like a true salami. It makes quite a conversation piece, not to mention a delicious accompaniment to Port and toasted nuts for dessert.
