The owner, Maurizio Allemandi, was inspired from a young age as he grew up visiting his grandmother's trattoria - Vascello d’Oro (a trattoria that is still open in Carru today) where he learned that quality raw materials and the passion for quality food are the basis of Italian regional cuisine.

"These are fantastic in soup - they bring the flavor to another level. I use them in a soup with sausage and greens and it's incredible. This is the only place I can find them online. A good excuse to get a few bags and then fill your cart up eith other pastas for free shipping ;)"
