Our friends at Le Ferre are excited to share a tasting experience of 4 monovarietal extra virgin olive oils from their estate in Puglia. Enjoy detailed notes about olive oil tasting, along with notes about each varietal from the producer.
Leccino: This delicate oil has grassy and subtle fruity notes. Serve over a similarly light white fish or pair with a light balsamic vinegar.
Ogliarola: A slightly bolder EVOO with herbal aromas and notes of apple. Try with fresh heirloom tomatoes and mozzarella di buffala for an exquisite caprese salad.
Frantoio: A medium intensity oil, with a sweeter fruitiness and a slight spiciness on finish. A perfect choice in salad dressings or a light sauté.
Cortina: The most intense oil in the pack. A classic Pugliese oil with noticeable green flavors and a big peppery, spicy finish. Try with grilled vegetables.
