Zerto Pecorino Romano is produced in the Sardinia region of Italy. Due to its distinctive aroma, salty flavor, and pleasantly sharp taste, Pecorino Romano is most often used in pasta dishes -- grated to finish or integrated into sauces and pestos. It is also an excellent table cheese, delicious with fruit preserves and honey. Zerto Pecorino Romano is aged approximately 8 - 12 months for an ideal maturity and balanced sharpness.
