Bioalimenta was founded in 2000 to respond to the needs of consumers affected by Celiac disease. Their goal is to use dietary foods that look and taste the same as other common foods. To achieve this, Bioalimenta built a special factory, divided into dedicated production areas for gnocchi, pasta, bread and flours. These special facilities are designed to guarantee master pasta-makers constant control over their activities while respecting traditional production methods.
Flanked by the Apennine mountains to the west and the Adriatic Sea to the east, Abruzzo is known for its lush verdure, thriving tourist industry and mild climate. It's cuisine is known to be some of the most diverse in Italy, informed by the traditions of inland farming communities and coastal fishing villages.
